This project examines ways to question our own being and our place in society. Gielen says that mirrors are not only a device for reflection, but a way in which viewers can see their future through the past. Jacques Lacan said that the spectator is not interested in art but is searching for a sense of self within the artwork. Events in the global economy are also a focus of this project.
