In the Chapters of the Chronicles series, I use my body to turn a mirror on my own life and my environment searching to understand, and encouraging viewers to ask, how we should live today and what ideas are worth pursuing. When I am creating work, I also think about privilege, desire and female power. In each Chapter, by using a painterly aesthetic and harnessing photography’s ability to unsettle viewers through the balance of fact and fiction, I also question how art relates to the larger social world.
